Flicker Fox Arts

Abbie Vander Horck, a Minneapolis native, comes to her artistic talents through blood and bone. Encouraged at a very young age by her grandmothers, themselves established artists, and a grandfather in commercial arts, she joyfully carries on this family tradition.

Abbie works in dual artistic disciplines. From her cozy, second story studio, she paints with oil on canvas in the style of objective realism. She is also a graduate of Dunwoody College welding program, and uses her metal working skills to create whimsical and fun art from recycled materials.

She lives in north Minneapolis with her husband, in a beautiful home where she practices New Wave Perennial Gardening in a yard that features many, rusting works of sculpture.
